You can work toward toning your arms by doing just a little bit at a time, and the good news is that you don’t have to lift heavy weights to see an improvement in tone. Use housework or putting away the groceries to pump up your fitness routine by adding some arm exercises while you are doing your normal “chores” for the week. It may seem silly, but everybody knows that even small efforts can add up to big changes if you are consistent. Even doing pushups against the wall can help build strength.
When you come home from the grocery store, why not do some bicep curls with canned goods before you put them in the cabinet or pantry? Milk cartons or water bottles can be held out away from the body to build some strength–just make sure you leave a little bend in your elbow so that you don’t strain your joints.
Keep windows clean and get a little workout by putting some extra time and effort into the circular pattern you are using to wipe off dust and grime. Mop the floors an extra few times per month for a house that is super clean and a bit of extra arm work. All these things will help boost strength without taking too much time out of your day. When things start to get too easy, just look for other creative ways to challenge your arm muscles; they are all around you!
